Technically, they are called &#8220;pillow cookies.&#8221; However, given that the basic idea is to shovel a brownie inside of a chocolate chip cookie, I think &#8220;turducken&#8221; is more appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>I learned about them when my colleague David challenged me to take my cookies to a new level last Friday, and produced a blog post by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakerella.com\/pillow-cookies\/\">Bakerella<\/a>. I think &#8220;new level&#8221; might  have meant more layers (David kept suggesting we find a way to deep fry them as well), but I decided to surprise them with an invitation to turducken-it up.<\/p>\n<p>More pictures after the jump&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4074\/4855487516_c31e8bcfc7.jpg\" alt=\"We made large dough balls\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Basically the idea is to wrap a brownie in cookie dough. (Lego guy here for perspective &#8212; these dough balls were huge.)<\/p>\n<p>We baked them&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4100\/4855523068_fe9c06273e.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and they \u00a0turned out kind of amazing.\u00a0Don&#8217;t worry, our Lego guy survived.
